Advocacy
SECCCA advocates to state and federal governments on behalf of its member councils, through submissions, briefings with MPs and joint work with the Victorian Greenhouse Alliances.
Our policy priorities
SECCCA focuses on areas where state and federal government policy and funding are essential – where councils cannot achieve progress alone. In areas where councils are already delivering, our ask is for co-investment in scaling what is working and to explore new investment pathways that leverage our stretched public funding.
Our submissions
We make submissions to inquiries and consultations on the policy settings councils need to cut emissions and prepare their communities for climate impacts.
