SECCCA to host Business Renewables Buying Group

SECCCA will become the new home of the Business Renewables Buying Group in 2026.

The move is part of SECCCA’s commitment under our Business Energy Support Program and the Greater South East Melbourne (GSEM) net zero implementation plan. It aims to expand the program’s impact across its local region, and increase its reach among Victorian councils and their business community.

Following the completion of the recent impact evaluation, SECCCA is working with 1Circle to expand the offering for Councils and businesses. The benefits for participating councils will be clearer to identify and easier to explain, enabling greater engagement with businesses of all sizes.

While the facilitation of the group will remain unchanged, there will be a greater focus on building energy literacy among the business community. Participating councils will have access to more educational collateral and in person events for their local businesses to attend.
