On behalf of the team at SECCCA, we thank you for your partnership and support throughout the year and look forward to an exciting year of climate action in 2024.

Cr Claire Harvey elected as Councillor Advisory Group Chair

At the last South East Councils Climate Change (SECCCA) Councillor Advisory Group Meeting for 2023, Cr Claire Harvey from the City of Frankston was elected as the Chair of the group, providing leadership for the 2024 year.

SECCCA deeply thanks the outgoing Chair Cr Michael Whelan, former Mayor of Bass Coast Shire. Cr Whelan was the inaugural Chair of CAG, providing consistent leadership for the past 6 years. As a great advocate for SECCCA and action on a number of climate change issues, he leaves a lasting and powerful legacy that SECCCA hopes to continue.

Cr Chris Hill from the City of Kinston was also elected as Deputy Chair for the 2024 year.

On behalf of the SECCCA team, we congratulate Cr Harvey and Cr Hill on their election and look forward to working in partnership throughout 2024 to continue to provide leadership on climate changes issues in the region.
