Draft Strategic Plan 2024 - 2028

SECCCA delivers on the common goals of its nine member councils via a 4-year strategic planning cycle. The next Strategic Plan 2024-2028 has been drafted by member representatives to reflect the current operating context and heightened aspirations of councils and communities for climate action in our region.

Since the development of the 2019-24 Strategic Plan, the context in which SECCCA operates has shifted significantly. Greenhouse emissions need to be reduced with unprecedented speed and urgency if we are to avoid a catastrophic future climate. At the same time, building the resilience of council assets and services and enhancing community preparedness. These are now critical tasks for councils if we are to safely navigate the risks escalating from climate change impacts unfolding locally and globally.

SECCCA is ready to scale up investment in collaboration and deliver on ambitious high-impact projects over the next four years.

Working together for stronger climate action.

The document provides a high-level overview of the four Programs and nine Priority Projects that make up the Strategic Plan to be finalised soon and scheduled for delivery from July 2024.
